APA Approval Department Representative

Job Description:

The APA Approval Department approves products, services and businesses that maintain the APA's high standards. This approval helps to increase the quality of service from businesses and reliability of pet products for pet owners.

Position includes contacting pet related businesses, in person, for the purpose of becoming APA Approved.  Representative will be responsible for initial screening according to APA standards.

Initially, APA Approval Department Representative will visit existing pet businesses in their area. After an initial review to establish if they meet basic standards, invite the business to apply for approval. Representative will assist the business owner with the application and take photos as required by the Approval Department.

This position is unique as the representative will not be required, or allowed, to use high pressure sales techniques. Businesses are very interested in this opportunity and closing is not required, only education of the benefits of being APA Approved. However, proper, ethical sales techniques and experience are always valuable.

Your responsibilities include, finding, contacting, meeting with and enrolling pet businesses.

The APA has the highest standards in the pet industry and a spotless reputation. Only individuals with high ethics and standards should apply for this position. In addition, you should be highly self motivated.

Position may lead to Department Director  or Regional Director and salaried position.

Compensation:

Pay is based on production (commission) as an independent sales representative.

This position is for Facility Enrollment in the APA Approved Program.

APA 5 Star Approval APA Approval Annual Renewal
$150 per facility enrollment
$100 per individual enrollment
$75/$50 annual renewal
$100 per facility enrollment
$50 per individual enrollment
$50/$25 annual renewal
50% of initial commission while an
employee or representative of the APA.

Draw - We will pay a minimum of your average weekly pay each week. (ie - slow weeks or vacation you will still receive your average pay, to be paid back on above average weeks)

Bonus or expenses paid for above average producer to be determined by program director.

Benefits package available after 6 months employment (minimum production required).

With annual renewal residuals, your renewal income alone the second year could be 50% of your first year (at 100% renewal). (For example if you produce at an average/low rate your first year, $36,000, and had the same production your second year, your income the second year would be $54,000, and $72,000 the third.)

Work Hours:

Any hours within 9am - 5pm M-Su
Full time only

Career Path:

Promotion to Approval Department Director or Regional Director is possible.
Position could include overseeing all program operations and employees.
Straight salary in excess of 50k plus bonuses.

There are currently 2 other programs you can apply for after 60 days experience with us.
